This unique blend of barrel-aged Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, and Tennat brings us to a full bodied, well structured wine.

These Vidal grapes are harvested based on concentrations of flavor, deep-frozen post-harvest and put into the press as frozen clusters of fruit. As the grapes are pressed, the liquid sugar drains out while the frozen water remains inside the press. This process creates a thick, syrup-like grape juice that will slowly ferment to create a rich dessert wine. Awards: Silver medal from the VA Governor's Cup

This Virginia sparkling wine is produced through the art of bottle-fermented winemaking known as methode champenoise. At Old House Vineyards we use this traditional French technique of the second fermentation occurring in the bottle to create the tiny bubbles. Soft with crisp fruit character, Petillante is the perfect sparkling wine to complement any special occasion. Santé!
